Opis
The Huawei LUNA-2000 intelligent energy storage system is based on one to three battery modules that together create a storage unit with a capacity of 5 kWh to 15 kWh. This advanced system uses a dedicated battery controller to intelligently manage available energy. Additionally, two complete storage units can be connected together, allowing for a capacity of up to 30 kWh.

How it works
The LUNA2000 battery consists of a power control module and battery expansion modules. It can store and release electrical energy depending on the requirements of the inverter management system. The input and output ports of the LUNA2000 battery are high-voltage direct current (HVDC) ports.
- Battery Charging: The power control module connects to the inverter's battery terminals (BAT+ and BAT–). Under the inverter's control, the power control module charges the batteries and stores excess PV energy in the batteries.
- Battery Discharging: When the photovoltaic energy is insufficient to power the loads, the system controls the batteries to provide power to the loads. Battery energy is transferred to the loads via the inverter.
Power and capacity
The battery allows for increased power and capacity. Two power control modules can be connected in parallel. A single power control module supports up to three battery expansion modules.
Connection
The LUNA2000 battery is used in grid-tied photovoltaic systems on residential rooftops. Typically, a grid-tied system consists of PV arrays, LUNA2000 batteries, an inverter, an AC switch, and a power distribution box (PDB).
